Youth Leadership development Programme
" A Leader may be anyone, right from a sweeper to the person who is reading this.
A leader is a person who says that, I am not satisfied with Status Quo prevailing in the system. I m not satisfied with just being OKAY. I strive for excellence and work
towards it "
" Leaders dont do different things, they do things differently" - Swami Chinmayananda
" Each one of us has a leader in him"
Youth Today, in India want to do 'something' to make a difference but cant decide what to do.
They basically need a movement that they can identify with.
YFi is that movement.
Every movement needs leaders, and history is a testimonial of that.
What differentiates failure from success is LEADERSHIP!
which is, unfortunately lacking in the india.
People want to do something but nobody is ready to take the initiative.
WHY?
On the other hand the youth want to take the initiative but are not given an opportunity coz they are still rookies!
We, As YFians, stand to change that.
WE MAY FAIL, BUT IF WE GET UP AND TRY AGAIN, THAT IS NOT CALLED A FAILURE.
That ability to get up and strive again for the goal, is what i feel has arrived in the youth of India.
So, Now we as YFIans want to give a chance to all those who think that they have what it takes to be a leader. Or even still, you are not sure about yourself but have that dedication in you can want to take the initiative.
YOU have an option. YFi is now going to start a program of Leadership Training and We are going to create a team of leaders who are going to have a greater role in the decision making of the country in the future.
" Leaders are not those who have a list of the achievements during their lifetime, but those who even they leave, people say that We did this ourselves" - A chineese saying
Leadership is about empowering others to come forward and take charge.
Who is a true leader?
True Leader
A False Leader
He goes in the room and proves that he is the smartest amongst them.
A True Leader
He goes in a room and asks 'Who is the smartest guy here?' and takes him in his team
LEADERSHIP PROGRAMME OF YFi
After reading this, If you feel that you have it you, come forward and lets redefine what people think about leaders.
" Progress is helping others move along with you and not pulling them down coz you cant move up"
ALL THOSE INTERESTED, CAN MAIL US AT
youthforindia@gmail.com
~~~ if you dont believe in yourself, no one else will~~~
Youth For India
AIMS
Long- term
1. To empower the youth to take on the future leadership of the country
PS: you need not be a politician to lead. You can help the nation even as a sweeper…. DO YOUR WORK PROPERLY
2. To develop a rational and independent approach in the youth of India
3. Transformation of youth into a unified, mobilized and an inspired mass.
4. Youth revolution through political participation
5. Spreading awareness amongst the youth of India, about the need and importance of CHANGE in today’s scenario.
Short- term
1. Spreading awareness amongst the youth of India, about the need and importance of CHANGE in today’s scenario.
2. Spreading the realization about the power and the reach of our voice.
3. Realizing that debating is only the beginning. We are what our actions make us.
4. Spreading the message of YFi in your local area and in your circle
5. Eg. You can start by putting a [YFi] in your name on orkut.
6. Change yourself in a small ways so that others can look up to you.
o Eg. Believe in yourself, stop aping the west!
7. Be the change you want to see in others
FEATURES
1. We don’t believe in fanatic nationalism but in Patriotism towards our motherland,
which every Indian feels
2. We stand up against every injustice happening in India
o PS: this does not necessarily mean that we venture into every field
3. Our target group is the people and not the government
ACTION PLAN
1. Integration of YFi with other organizations with the common aim [ methods may not b d same, but the cause is what is important] like youth for justice in delhi and DYNAMIC in Calcutta
2. Focusing on ground work as a team rather than online debating.
3. For this, we came up with an idea that we should form ground groups in as many cities as we can, so that we can start doing something and the feeling of team spirit can be inculcated in every YFian
4. Running small scale programs on the regional scale like serving the slum kids or spreading awareness among your own housemaids or trying to help out in orphanages
5. Currently, we are running a project on Missing elements of education India. Plz refer to the particular thread for more details in www.yfi-revolution.com
